Jeevasakhi
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
Jeevasakhi (“the Company”, “we”, “us”), operated by Fair Capital, is committed to protecting your privacy and takes reasonable security safeguards, appropriate under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules, against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure of your personal data. No transmission over the internet can be made absolutely secure, and by using jeevasakhi.com (the “Website”) you accept that the Company cannot be held liable for disclosure caused by errors in transmission or the unauthorised acts of third parties outside its reasonable control. This Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.
1. What we collect
To register and build a profile, you provide information including (but not limited to): name, date of birth, gender, marital status, height, current and permanent location, residential status, religion/denomination and church affiliation, education, employment, income range, mother tongue and languages spoken, family background, photographs and videos, a testimony or “about me” description, and contact details (mobile number, WhatsApp number, and — for a family-delegated profile — the family contact's own name and relationship to the profile).
Some of this — your phone number, and your self-disclosed income range — is sensitive personal data under Indian law, used only for the specific purposes described below.
We also automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Website: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and similar usage data, for security, service reliability, and improving the Website.
2. How we use it
- To operate the matchmaking service. Your profile information is used to generate match suggestions and search results based on your own and other members' partner preferences.
- To verify your phone number. If you choose to verify your mobile number, we send a one-time code to it through our SMS verification provider (Twilio) and record only the fact and time of successful verification, not the code itself, once confirmed.
- To process payments. If you purchase a Premium or Concierge plan, your payment is handled directly by our payment processor (Razorpay); the Company does not store your card or bank account details.
- To send you email and push notifications. For account activity (a new interest, message, or access request) and, if you opt in, periodic digests — sent through our email provider (Resend) and, for browser push notifications, the Web Push standard. You can turn either channel off at any time from your notification settings.
- To moderate content and enforce our Terms, including reviewing reported profiles, photos, or messages.
- To respond to you when you contact support, or to notify you of material changes to the Website or these policies.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not run third-party advertising or ad-tracking on the Website, and if that ever changes, this Policy will be updated first.
3. Who can see what
Your name, age (if you choose to show it), core profile details, and faith information are visible to other registered members by default, consistent with a matrimony platform's purpose. Your photos and contact details (phone/WhatsApp number and family contact information), however, are governed by the visibility setting you choose for each:
- Everyone — visible to any registered member;
- Matches only — visible once you and the viewer have a mutually accepted interest;
- Visible on request — hidden until you personally approve a specific member's request to see it, through the Website's own request-and-approve flow. Approving a Premium or Concierge member's request to see your contact details is the only way that information becomes visible to them; a Free-tier member cannot even send that request.
A short internal contact number, if you provide one for our own follow-up, is never shown to any other member regardless of your visibility settings.
6. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data, and to withdraw consent for its processing at any time (which may mean we can no longer provide the matchmaking service to you). You can view and edit most of your profile information directly from your account. For anything else — including a request to delete your account and associated data, or a grievance about how your data has been handled — contact our Grievance Officer (Section 8 below).
7. Retention
We retain your profile data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after deactivation in case you return, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or applicable law requires a different retention period (for example, payment records, which we retain as required for tax and accounting purposes).
8. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (as amended) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Company has appointed the following Grievance Officer, who also serves as the contact point for data-protection grievances:
Grievance Officer: B John
Email: support@jeevasakhi.com
Address: B-21, Sector 55, Noida, Uttar Pradesh - 201301, India
The Grievance Officer will acknowledge a complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within the timeframe prescribed by applicable law.
